9/25/06 Eazzy Duzzit Dr Mooch 6/10
Dr. Mooch has been around a while. He put out his fist album in 1993 and has published several books. His latest album "Eazzy Duzzit" is his best work ever. He is an African Reggae singer, and has his own sound and style for sure. His sound reminds me of Eek-A-Mouse. The tracks on the Album are mostly upbeat Roots Reggae. He as a few African words in here and there and the intros to the songs are very slick. The song "Mini Mini" defiantly has an Eek-A-Mouse sound, but Dr. Mooch is most definitely doing his own ting. It is kind of a fun, happy album. He seems to sing with a carefree attitude. It is refreshing, but his voice does modulate sometimes. It could just be his style, but at time he sounds out of key.

Track 5 "Easy Riser" is kinda week. The baseline is boring and the song is very repetitive. I guess the repetitive theme is just part of his style.

Do you feel Ire tonight! That has to be my favorite song.

I like the background vocals and the sound production is spot on.

I enjoy the album very much, and with a name like Dr. Mooch, how can you forget him. Check him out; it's worth your time.
